“Huasteca, what are you made of?” Tribute” (2023, Ancient Voices Publishing, USA), by Rosa Flores. It is a journey through the Huasteca region of Potosí, in Mexico, through images and metaphors. The book uses as its main resource the knowledge of Artemio Posadas, a distinguished Huasteco musician, and is complemented with beautiful photographs and the author’s sublime poetry. Two of my photographs are published in this work. I highly recommend it. Congratulations and thousands of thanks for such a beautiful gift to start the year, dear Rosa Flores. Tlaskamati miak!” —Jesús Alberto Flores Martínez

This book is a passionate and poetic journey through the Mexican Huasteca Potosina through the photographic eye and the knowledge of the teacher and doctor Artemio Posadas, originally from this beautiful region, but now residing in California.

In this text, the author is inspired by the lyrics of the album El Viento que Murmura by maestro Artemio Posadas.

The author adds her poetic expressions about this land, the people of it, and the feeling carried in the verse of master Artemio Posadas; in addition to adding basic information about the teacher’s life.

In general, it is an easy to digest text and very pleasant both for the poetry included and for the multiple photographs that illustrate this book.
